During their underwater exploration, they encounter Sophia, a mermaid princess from the planet Aqua. Sophia reveals that her people migrated to Earth’s oceans 5,000 years ago to escape the tyrannical Merman Tribe, who had devastated their home planet. Now, the Merman Tribe, led by the malevolent Buriking, has located the mermaid civilization on Earth and threatens to conquer it.

Determined to help, Doraemon, Nobita, and their friends—Shizuka, Gian, and Suneo—embark on a quest to find the legendary Mermaid Sword, the only weapon capable of defeating Buriking and restoring peace to the seas.
