Plot Summary
In this 14th installment of the Crayon Shin-chan movie series, Kasukabe City is gripped by an eerie phenomenon: residents are being replaced by doppelgängers who compulsively dance the samba. The Nohara family and Shin-chan’s friends notice unsettling changes in their acquaintances’ behaviors, leading them to suspect a larger conspiracy.
The situation escalates when the Noharas encounter their own clones at a shopping mall. They’re rescued by Jackie, an agent from the Science Research Institute (SRI), who reveals that a mad scientist named Amigo Suzuki is behind the chaos. Suzuki’s plan involves replacing humans with “Konjaclones”—artificial beings made from konnyaku jelly—to create a world where everyone dances samba endlessly under his control.
As the real residents are captured and forced to dance, Shin-chan, his family, and friends team up with Jackie to thwart Suzuki’s plan. They infiltrate the clone manufacturing facility, confront their duplicates, and inspire the real citizens to reclaim their identities through the power of dance. The climax features a dance-off between Jackie and Amigo Suzuki, culminating in the revelation of Suzuki’s true identity and the liberation of Kasukabe City.
